Scientific Coding Expert – Physics & Python (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Scientific Coding Expert to design and implement rigorous physics‑focused coding problems. This short‑term, full‑time contract (8 weeks) is fully remote and requires a strong background in physics and Python development.

Key responsibilities

• Create scientific coding problems that include a main task and at least three logically connected sub‑tasks.
• Develop verified reference solutions in Python with comprehensive unit‑test coverage.
• Design discriminative test cases that clearly separate correct from incorrect model outputs.
• Run quality‑control checks, incorporate feedback, and continuously improve the tasks.
• Ensure all deliverables meet standards for scientific correctness, well‑posedness, determinism, and test quality.
• Participate in reviews, feedback sessions, and project stand‑ups during the required PST overlap hours.

Required profile

• Master's degree or PhD in Physics.
• Strong Python programming and scientific‑computing experience.
• Ability to write rigorous, well‑posed scientific problems with clear constraints and expected outputs.
• Excellent attention to detail and understanding of scientific determinism.
• Google Scholar profile or link (mandatory).
