About the role

The University of Ghana is seeking a Deputy Chief Information Technology Officer to lead planning, security and support functions within its IT department. This senior position reports to the Chief Information Technology Officer and contributes to the university’s strategic ICT initiatives. The role involves coordinating cross‑functional teams to deliver secure and efficient technology services.

• Oversee information security policies, risk assessments and compliance measures.
• Manage day‑to‑day IT support operations to ensure reliable services for staff and students.
• Collaborate with senior management on technology budgeting and resource allocation.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to IT staff.

• Relevant academic qualifications in information technology or related fields.
