Senior Back End Engineer (General, Debian, BSP)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Back End Engineer to lead the design, development, and operation of high‑impact backend services. The role involves technical leadership, hands‑on engineering, and platform ownership across ingestion, processing, and retrieval pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own architecture and standards for assigned platforms, making trade‑off decisions and communicating a technical roadmap.
• Build and evolve ingestion, processing, and retrieval services/APIs, strengthening async pipelines with RabbitMQ, retries, and back‑pressure.
• Optimize indexing and search quality/latency using Qdrant and Elasticsearch.
• Run production delivery via Helm, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD GitOps, enhancing observability with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, logging, and alerts.
• Enforce multi‑tenant data isolation, security, and auditability end‑to‑end.
• Collaborate with AI engineers on retrieval quality, embeddings, vector search, and RAG‑style systems.
• Own external identity integrations (e.g., Zitadel), implement SCIM, SSO, RBAC, and provisioning workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably in SaaS or finance‑related environments.
• Strong system design skills with experience modeling roles, permissions, and policy propagation.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
