Senior Backend Engineer (Java)

About the role

AmaliTech is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with strong Java expertise and some Angular experience to lead a development team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high‑quality Java‑based applications while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Java‑based applications aligned with business goals.
• Analyse user requirements, produce detailed design documentation, and develop multimedia applications.
• Develop, test, debug, and resolve technical issues in software.
• Recommend improvements to existing Java infrastructure and create user documentation.

Required profile

• 8+ years of backend development experience, with at least 5 years in Java.
• Strong knowledge of software testing theory, test design, execution, and automation.
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
• Very good English communication skills; German is a plus.
