Senior Technical Advisor – HIV & Global Health Security

About the role

Project HOPE is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor to lead integrated HIV and Global Health Security initiatives within the Ghana Integrated Health Partnership (IHP). Based in Accra, you will shape strategic, technical, and programmatic actions that improve HIV service delivery while strengthening prevention, detection, and response systems across maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and scale evidence‑based interventions that integrate HIV services with MNCAH, nutrition, malaria and health security programs.
• Provide high‑level technical guidance to ensure alignment with Ghana’s epidemic control goals, EMTCT targets and International Health Regulations.
• Coordinate with government agencies, local NGOs and implementing facilities to build capacity and sustain quality service delivery.
• Monitor and evaluate program performance, producing actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and best‑practice dissemination across project partners.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in public health, epidemiology, global health or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in HIV programming and health security, preferably in low‑resource settings.
• Proven track record of leading multi‑sectoral health initiatives and managing donor‑funded projects.
• Strong understanding of Ghana’s health system, maternal and child health, and International Health Regulations.
