Senior Wordpress Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior WordPress Developer to join our team in Kumasi, Ghana. This hybrid, full‑time position will focus on custom WordPress theming and full‑stack development, ensuring high‑quality products that meet client expectations and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical planning, architecture, estimation and delivery of WordPress projects.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers and other developers to translate requirements into actionable tasks.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, provide regular updates and proactively resolve issues.
• Ensure code quality, accessibility compliance (WCAG) and adherence to best practices.
• Participate in stand‑ups, code reviews and continuous improvement of development processes.

Required profile

• Take extreme ownership of work and deliver on commitments.
• Communicate clearly with team members and clients.
• Anticipate problems and propose proactive solutions.
• Adapt quickly in a fast‑moving, dynamic environment.

Required skills

• WordPress theme development (PHP, template hierarchy).
• Proficiency with at least one JavaScript framework (React, Angular or Vue).
• Responsive UI implementation.
• Bonus: Shopify (Liquid), Drupal, mobile development (Flutter or React Native).
• Experience with headless WordPress or REST API integration.
• SQL knowledge.
• ADA accessibility (WCAG compliance) experience.
