Site Support Engineer – Pumps, Cyclones, Valves

About the role

FLSmidth is seeking a motivated Site Support Engineer to join the Pumps, Cyclones, Valves (PCV) and Knelson Concentrator team in Tarkwa, Ghana. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable installation, maintenance and performance of PCV and Knelson equipment at customer sites across Ghana and West Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Visit customer sites regularly, as agreed with the Site Account Manager and PCV Site Sales.
• Oversee installation, maintenance and rebuild of PCV/Knelson equipment on‑site.
• Provide basic troubleshooting for PCV/Knelson systems and coordinate advanced support with Site Sales and PLM.
• Maintain accurate installation base data for both FLSmidth and competitor equipment.
• Ensure aftermarket services are delivered on time and customer satisfaction is achieved.
• Monitor and manage Return on Performance (ROP) metrics to keep customer operations running smoothly.

Required profile

• B.Sc. degree in an engineering discipline (Mineral, Chemical, Metallurgical, Mechanical, etc.).
• 3‑4 years of experience with pumps, cyclones, valves and Klenson equipment installations and rebuilds.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Ghana and other West African countries.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional regional languages are a plus.
• Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders, negotiate and influence outcomes.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pumps, cyclones, valves and Klenson Concentrator equipment.
• Installation, maintenance and rebuild expertise for PCV/Klenson systems.
• Basic troubleshooting of PCV/Klenson equipment on‑site.
• Understanding of selection, sizing and operating parameters for PCV equipment.
