Social Data Lead

About the role

The Social Data Lead will own the quality, structure, and usability of social and spatial data that underpins livelihood restoration and community programs across Rainforest Builder’s projects in Ghana and Sierra Leone. Working closely with the Social Performance Lead and field teams, you will ensure data collection meets VCS, CCB, IFC PS, and investor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate, clean, and analyze social and ESG program data.
• Design surveys and data collection instruments using tools such as KoBoToolbox.
• Validate, organize, and maintain GIS datasets (QGIS or ArcGIS).
• Support annual monitoring and reporting for livelihood restoration programs.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and workflows to improve data visibility.
• Collaborate with field and management teams to uphold data quality standards.
• Document data standards to keep datasets auditable over time.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data, including spatial data.
• Proven ability to manage large datasets with high attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• GIS software proficiency (QGIS or ArcGIS).
• Survey tool experience (KoBoToolbox).
• Data analysis tools such as Excel, R, or Python.
