Social Media Marketing Manager

About the role

Zof is hiring a Social Media Marketing Manager in Accra, Ghana, to rebuild and run its public accounts for an audience of working engineers. The role owns the accounts end to end: posting cadence, explainers and short videos, replies in developer threads, and holding a post until its claims are backed. The ideal candidate uses AI daily to draft and research content and verifies every claim before publishing.

Key responsibilities

• Own the publishing calendar for LinkedIn, X, YouTube and Instagram.
• Write posts that explain continuous verification without overstating what the product does.
• Work with product and engineering to turn technical articles and the Point of Failure series into posts developers will read.
• Produce your own graphics, screen recordings and short videos.
• Engage with developers in public threads using their own technical terms.
• Use AI tools to research, draft and test variants, then verify every claim before publication.
• Track reach, engagement and referral traffic and report results clearly.
• Extend the content standards into a social playbook a technical brand can stand behind.

Required profile

• Experience running social accounts for a brand or product, with a consistent publishing cadence.
• Strong short-form writing in a plain, direct voice.
• Comfort explaining a technical product to a developer audience.
• Working understanding of where AI coding tools fail.
• Hands-on production skill with simple graphics and short video.
• Self-direction in a fast-moving environment; daily hands-on use of AI tools to draft, iterate and fact-check content.

Nice to have

• Experience marketing AI, developer tools or enterprise software.
• Familiarity with social scheduling, video editing or similar production tooling.
• Experience at an early-stage startup and an existing presence in a developer or AI community.
