Supervisor Quarry and Road Crew

About the role

The Supervisor Quarry and Road Crew leads surface mining activities, ensuring safe, efficient operations and regulatory compliance at Newmont's Ahafo mine. This onsite role requires strong leadership to coach and develop the Mine Services teams while maintaining high safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily surface mining operations, focusing on road crew, quarry activities, and mine projects.
• Coordinate equipment and resources with team members to meet production targets.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and promptly address any violations.
• Schedule personnel, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity.
• Develop and execute daily and weekly operational plans in collaboration with other supervisors.
• Monitor performance using data analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Prepare and deliver reports on operational performance, safety incidents, and compliance to senior management.

Required profile

• Visible leader with experience supervising surface mining or quarry operations.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to plan resources, analyze operational data, and communicate performance results.
