Supply Chain Manager / Business Planner - Corrugated Cartons

About the role

Polytanks Ghana is seeking a Supply Chain Manager / Business Planner to oversee the end‑to‑end flow of materials for corrugated carton production. The role bridges sales demand and manufacturing capacity, ensuring efficient production, optimized inventory, and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop demand forecasts using historical sales data and market trends, especially for peak e‑commerce and retail seasons.
• Lead monthly S&OP meetings with sales, finance and production to align capacity with customer requirements.
• Identify supply chain risks (paper shortages, freight delays) and create contingency plans.
• Convert sales orders into production schedules, managing machine capacity (corrugators, die‑cutters, printers) and lead times.
• Resolve bottlenecks promptly to minimise downtime.
• Manage raw material sourcing from paper mills, maintain optimal inventory of paper, ink and starch.
• Monitor supplier performance using scorecards and maintain strong relationships.
• Select and manage freight providers, track and improve On‑Time‑In‑Full (OTIF) delivery metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of supply chain or production planning experience, preferably in packaging or high‑volume manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
