Systems Administrator & IT Manager

About the role

Coastal Commerce Microfinance Ltd is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator and IT Manager to oversee its core banking platform and overall IT infrastructure. The role combines hands‑on technical management with strategic oversight to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology services for the institution.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the core banking system.
• Manage servers, networks, computers, and related IT infrastructure.
• Create and control user accounts, access rights, and system permissions.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes.
• Implement cybersecurity measures and protect data according to regulatory standards.
• Oversee regular data backups, recovery procedures, and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records and ensure equipment upkeep.
• Provide technical support and guidance to staff across the organization.
• Identify technology risks and recommend improvements to IT controls.

Required profile

• Degree or HND in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• High ethical standards, leadership ability, and capacity to work under pressure.
• Understanding of banking regulations, risk management, and internal controls.
