Area Sales Manager

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead sales activities across the Accra and Tema region, driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base. You will be responsible for developing territory strategies, managing a sales team, and building strong relationships with distributors and key accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
• Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve high performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and corporate customers.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance to uncover growth opportunities.
• Oversee trade marketing activities, promotions, and product launches.
• Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain teams to ensure product availability and monitor inventory levels.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly while maintaining high satisfaction levels.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales or a related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience in FMCG, agribusiness, consumer goods or manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of managing distributors and achieving sales growth.

Required skills

• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent negotiation and business‑development skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
