About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead the commercial expansion of our photovoltaic (PV) product portfolio across Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone. You will be responsible for driving revenue, market share and strategic partnerships in a fast‑growing West African renewable‑energy market.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet annual targets for PV modules, inverters, storage systems and customized solutions (on‑grid, off‑grid, hybrid).
  • Conduct market research, generate leads, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and close orders with distributors, installers, EPC contractors, industrial/commercial clients, government agencies and project developers.
  • Build long‑term relationships with customers, understand their needs and deliver tailored PV solutions, including off‑grid and hybrid solar‑diesel systems.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, policy changes and regional trade agreements (e.g., ECOWAS TL) and provide insights to regional management.
  • Collaborate with technical, marketing and supply‑chain teams to ensure smooth delivery, provide technical support and resolve post‑sales issues.
  • Represent the company at industry exhibitions, seminars and promotional events to increase brand visibility.
  • Maintain and optimise the sales pipeline, produce regular sales reports and ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business Administration or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • 3‑5 years of proven B2B sales experience in the PV or renewable‑energy sector, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Demonstrated experience selling PV products in Ghana, Liberia or Sierra Leone and knowledge of local market dynamics and project bidding processes.

Required skills

  • In‑depth knowledge of PV modules, inverters and storage systems.
  • Understanding of off‑grid and hybrid solar‑diesel system design.
  • Familiarity with regional trade agreements (ECOWAS TL) and local certification requirements (e.g., Ghana GSA).
