About the role
Velo West Africa is seeking an Assistant Paints Chemist to join its laboratory team in Tema. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the testing, quality control, and development of paint products, ensuring they meet the company’s high standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct analytical tests on paint formulations and finished products.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and test reports.
- Assist the senior chemist with research and development projects.
- Support quality control procedures to guarantee product consistency.
- Collaborate with production staff to troubleshoot formulation issues.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in paint or chemical manufacturing is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive, solution‑oriented attitude and ability to work well in a team.
