Audit Assistant

About the role

A reputable and fast‑growing rural bank in the Bono Region of Ghana is seeking an Audit Assistant. The role supports the audit function by assisting in developing and implementing the annual audit plan and related tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing the annual audit plan.
• Assist in implementing the approved audit plan, including special tasks or projects requested by management and the audit committee.
• Assist in testing and reviewing all aspects of the bank’s activities to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory authorities.
• Assist in reviewing operations to verify results align with established budgets, objectives, and goals.
• Assist in identifying risk areas and creating a control environment to detect and prevent fraud.
• Assist in following up on findings and recommendations from previous audits that have not been addressed.

Required profile

• Minimum of a first degree; an MBA from a recognised university is an added advantage.
• Part qualification of ICA, ACCA, or CIB is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience, including at least one year as an audit assistant.
• Good knowledge of the T24 banking application software.
