Business Development Manager – Logistics & Freight Forwarding

About the role

PIL Logistics Ghana is seeking a results‑driven Business Development Manager to expand its logistics and freight forwarding business. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will identify new opportunities, grow market presence, and strengthen key customer relationships across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth by identifying, converting, and scaling new logistics and freight forwarding opportunities.
• Build and manage a high‑quality sales pipeline for long‑term customer acquisition and retention.
• Develop integrated, end‑to‑end logistics solutions and cross‑sell with PIL shipping services.
• Ensure efficient, compliant operations while optimizing costs, margins, and service delivery.
• Provide strategic leadership across sales, operations, and support teams.
• Represent PIL Logistics at senior level with customers, partners, and authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics or a related field (MBA or professional qualification is a plus).
• Up to 10 years of experience in logistics and freight forwarding, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience managing logistics business in Ghana, including knowledge of local services, taxes, and regulations.
• Track record in customs processes and strong governance compliance.
• Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record.
• High integrity, resilience, and adaptability in complex environments.
