Business Partner and Chef

About the role

The Business Partner and Chef is a contract, on‑site position at JohAnn Western Guesthouse in Tema, responsible for both culinary operations and contributing to the guesthouse’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare high‑quality, locally inspired meals for guests.
• Manage kitchen operations, including food sourcing, inventory control and hygiene/safety standards.
• Collaborate on business strategy, menu pricing, cost control and guest‑experience initiatives.
• Identify new revenue opportunities, support marketing efforts and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Required profile

• Culinary expertise with professional cooking skills and menu planning.
• Experience in kitchen management, food safety, hygiene standards and inventory control.
• Business mindset with basic budgeting, cost management and strategic planning abilities.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to work on‑site in Tema and adapt to changing guest needs.
