Cardiac Physiologist

About the role

Halcome Management Services seeks a Cardiac Physiologist to join the new Bank Hospital in Accra. You will deliver high‑quality, patient‑focused cardiology diagnostic services and support physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and clean procedure rooms before, between and after cases.
• Conduct invasive and non‑invasive cardiovascular and pulmonary diagnostic tests (ECG, treadmill stress tests, blood pressure, heart rate monitoring, ultrasound, echocardiography).
• Assist in catheter‑lab procedures and support physicians during cardiac and peripheral vascular assessments.
• Operate and maintain specialised equipment such as cardiac ultrasound scanners, intra‑aortic balloon pumps and pacemaker programming devices.
• Monitor patients with pacemakers, ICDs or heart valve replacements, providing long‑term follow‑up.
• Calibrate equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns, analyse test data and produce physiological reports for cardiologists and surgeons.
• Document patient records, register service dates and communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Required profile

• Degree in healthcare science, biomedical science or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and competency to perform diagnostic procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Professional, calm and caring interpersonal approach.
