Caretaker – Officers Residence

About the role

The Ghana National Association of Teachers seeks a reliable caretaker to manage the Officers' Residence in Accra. You will ensure the property remains clean, secure, and well‑maintained for designated officers and official guests.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of rooms, corridors, kitchen, washrooms and compound.
• Identify maintenance needs and promptly report faults, damage or repairs.
• Oversee regular cleaning and ensure facilities are ready before occupancy.
• Report electrical, plumbing and other utility issues.
• Maintain records of furniture, appliances and other assets.
• Assist in preparing the residence for visiting officers and official guests.
• Keep daily activity and maintenance logs up to date.

Required profile

• Minimum Senior High School Certificate (WASSCE/SSCE) or equivalent.
• Certificate or training in facilities management or estate maintenance is an advantage.
• 2–3 years experience in caretaking, property maintenance or facility management.
• Personal attributes: integrity, honesty, reliability, responsibility and confidentiality.
