Category Manager – Restaurant Division

About the role

The Category Manager – Restaurant Division will lead the restaurant category for Chalé Now, a fast‑growing convenience platform in Ghana. Based in Accra, you will develop and execute strategies that grow the assortment, pricing and promotions while ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the restaurant category strategy, including assortment planning and promotional calendars.
• Analyse sales, performance data and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with restaurant vendors and manage ongoing relationships.
• Collaborate with procurement, sales, operations, marketing and product teams to onboard and support restaurant partners.
• Monitor competitor activity and adjust the offering to meet customer needs and brand standards.
• Track key performance indicators, forecast demand and report on category performance.

Required profile

• Proven category management experience with ownership of strategy, assortment and performance.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data, track KPIs and make data‑driven decisions.
• Experience in procurement and vendor management, including sourcing and onboarding restaurant partners.
• Demonstrated success in contract negotiation and commercial agreement management.
• Background in food delivery, quick commerce, FMCG or hospitality is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
