Chef – Full-time position in Odumase Abrafo

About the role

Barreo Nova is seeking a motivated Chef to join its kitchen team in Odumase Abrafo. The role involves preparing, cooking, and presenting meals that meet the company’s quality standards while ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present meals according to the approved menu and customer requirements.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, portion sizes, and presentation.
• Adhere to food safety, health, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
• Manage inventory using FIFO principles, monitor stock levels, and place requisitions.
• Minimize waste through effective stock control and efficient preparation practices.
• Coordinate with waitstaff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with catering functions, special events, and menu planning as needed.
• Perform opening and closing kitchen duties and report any equipment or safety issues.

Required profile

• Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Culinary Arts or Professional Cookery (advantageous).
• 2‑3 years proven experience as a Chef, Cook or similar role.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Residence within 30 minutes of Odumase Abrafo or willingness to relocate.
