Chief Finance Officer – FinTech

About the role

The company, a fast‑growing Ghanaian fintech, is seeking a Chief Finance Officer to lead all financial operations. Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, the CFO will shape strategy, drive growth, and ensure robust financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Finance and Operations team, aligning them with the company’s vision and strategic plan.
• Provide accurate, timely financial results to support sound business decisions and compliant reporting.
• Partner closely with the CEO to drive growth, profitability, and stakeholder communication.
• Maintain a detailed financial forecast for the next four quarters and two years, measuring performance and revising as needed.
• Oversee preparation of financial information for operational use and regulatory reporting.
• Manage and improve financial processes, policies, and controls to meet legal, accounting, and ethical standards.
• Ensure effective governance of risks and opportunities, and review monthly performance with the business.
• Establish financial strategic vision, objectives, policies, and procedures supporting the overall strategic plan.

Required profile

• Proven experience working closely with CEOs in a collaborative, initiative‑driven manner.
• Strong leadership ability to engage and develop finance teams.
• Demonstrated track record of driving business results and strategic communication with investors, analysts, and internal stakeholders.
