Chief Financial Officer

About the role

Casa Trasacco Limited, part of the Trasacco Group, is a home products company based in Accra that sells modern-style furniture and accessories. It is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and results-oriented person to act as Chief Financial Officer, directing and overseeing all financial and fiscal management of the company.

Key responsibilities

• Keep records in line with generally accepted auditing standards in Ghana and ensure compliance with tax and other laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement finance, accounting and auditing procedures, and set up internal controls.
• Oversee approval and processing of revenue expenditure, imports, budgets, salary processing, accounts maintenance and data entry.
• Analyse cash flow, expenses and financial statements.
• Create, coordinate and evaluate financial programmes and support information systems, and approve changes to automated financial and management information systems.
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, MIS and other reports, and help process operating licences and permits.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business from a reputable university.
• Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants or the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ghana.
• At least 10 years of post-qualification experience in a senior role, including a minimum of 5 years overseas; previous experience in the retail furniture industry is desirable but not required.

Required skills

• Up-to-date knowledge of current financial and accounting computer applications.
• Excellent verbal, analytical, organisational and written skills.
