Chief Investment Officer

About the role

Temple is looking for a visionary Chief Investment Officer to lead its Asset Management business across private equity, private wealth, pensions and institutional mandates. The CIO will shape the firm’s investment philosophy, drive portfolio performance and originate high‑impact mandates that support Ghana’s growth‑critical sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement Temple’s overall investment strategy and portfolio construction framework across all asset classes.
• Oversee and mentor Portfolio Managers in private equity, private wealth, and pensions/institutional units.
• Source, evaluate and originate new investment products and mandates in collaboration with Investment Banking and Advisory teams.
• Lead senior‑level client engagement, including pitches, portfolio reviews and relationship management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, client mandates and internal risk parameters.
• Drive business development efforts in coordination with the Executive Operations team.

Required profile

• CFA Charterholder with a valid Ghana Investment and Securities Institute (GISI) certification.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in asset management, fund management or investment analysis, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Broad exposure to private equity, private wealth management and pensions/institutional fund management with a proven track record of portfolio performance.
• Demonstrated ability to originate and manage investment mandates and senior client relationships.
• Deep knowledge of Ghana’s regulatory and investment environment (SEC Ghana, GSE, etc.).
