Chief Supply Chain Officer (Full Time)

About the role

Jumia, Africa’s leading e‑commerce platform, is seeking a Chief Supply Chain Officer to lead and scale its supply chain operations in Ghana. You will provide strategic and operational direction, building a high‑performing team that ensures seamless order fulfillment across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and standardise best‑in‑class fulfillment and supply‑chain workflows nationwide.
• Recruit, train and expand robust fulfilment and logistics teams to support rapid growth.
• Oversee localized fleets and third‑party logistics (3PL) networks, negotiating contracts to optimise costs.
• Own business outcomes by tracking daily, weekly and monthly operational KPIs.
• Ensure uninterrupted order fulfilment while quickly resolving operational emergencies.
• Produce executive reports on metrics, targets and performance variances.
• Manage departmental budgets and execute accurate month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end financial processes.
• Drive continuous improvement of internal workflows and foster a culture of employee growth.
• Lead end‑to‑end project delivery for new operational initiatives and strategic assignments.

Required profile

• Strategic leader with strong entrepreneurial drive and independent follow‑through.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable in culturally diverse environments.
• Proven crisis‑management, cross‑functional coordination and high‑stakes vendor negotiation abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Economics, Engineering or a related field; relevant professional certifications are a plus.
