About the role
We are looking for a skilled Chinese Chef to join our kitchen team and prepare authentic Chinese dishes that meet our menu standards. The role involves daily food preparation, maintaining quality, and supporting menu development in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare authentic Chinese dishes (Sichuan, Cantonese, etc.) according to menu and company standards.
- Handle daily food preparation tasks such as cutting, marinating, and cooking ingredients.
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet required standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Manage kitchen inventory and report ingredient needs.
- Assist in menu development and improve food offerings when required.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Control food waste and support cost management.
Required profile
- Proven experience cooking Chinese cuisine, preferably Sichuan or Cantonese.
- Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced setting.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and standards.
- Physically fit and able to work long hours when required.
- Previous experience working with Chinese or Asian chefs is an advantage.
