Client Service Officer - Microfinance

About the role

World Vision's Volta VisionFund Branch is hiring a Client Service Officer. The organisation has been helping vulnerable children overcome poverty for 75 years, works in more than 100 countries and employs more than 31,000 staff. The role covers identifying prospective borrowers, assessing their businesses and managing loans, and is open to local applicants only.

Key responsibilities

• Identify prospective borrowers and promote VISIONFUND GHANA products to them.
• Assess borrowers' business operations through client visits, analysis of management and financial accounts and other relevant information.
• Liaise with the Client Service Manager to provide pre-credit and business training to clients.
• Ensure pre- and post-drawdown conditions are met before and after loan disbursement.
• Facilitate timely disbursement of loans and monitor borrowers' operations to ensure timely repayment.
• Ensure the operational control system for credits is followed and report in writing within 48 hours of returning from the field on any anomalies or challenges.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, and regularly share information on competitors, products and services for product development.
• Assist in reviewing credit policies and operational guidelines, and facilitate the marketing of clients' produce.
• Take part in the institution's spiritual activities and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
