About the role

JohAnn Western Guesthouse is seeking a dedicated Cook to join its on‑site kitchen team in Accra. This full‑time position offers commission‑based compensation and focuses on delivering high‑quality meals that enhance the guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present meals according to recipes, dietary requirements, and guest preferences.
• Plan daily and weekly menus, ensuring variety and alignment with local and international cuisine standards.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and food‑safety protocols at all times.
• Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate food storage to minimize waste.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during all meal periods.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in a professional kitchen or culinary environment preferred.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to adapt to diverse guest dietary needs.
