About the role

Join Gem Capital Microfinance as a Credit Officer, Accounts Officer, or Mobile Banker to provide professional customer service and support the company’s financial products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to customers professionally and provide information about the company's financial products and services.
• Process customer transactions, including cash deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
• Receive and process loan applications and assist with credit assessments.
• Support customer acquisition, loan recovery, and deposit mobilization activities.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and customer information.
• Ensure proper handling and accountability of cash and other financial assets.
• Promote the company's products and services to prospective and existing customers.
• Follow company policies, operational procedures, and applicable financial regulations.
• Report discrepancies, customer concerns, and operational issues to the appropriate supervisor.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification of JHS, SHS, HND, or a relevant degree, depending on the position.
• A degree or HND in Marketing or a related field is an advantage.
• At least one year of relevant work experience, preferably in banking, microfinance, sales, customer service, or cashiering.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Basic numeracy and record‑keeping skills.
• Honesty, integrity, attention to detail, and ability to handle financial transactions responsibly.
• Ability to work independently and meet assigned targets.
• Willingness to learn and comply with company procedures.
