Data Analytics Engineer

About the role

The Data Analytics Engineer will ensure the availability, integrity, and performance of the company’s data platforms while delivering insightful dashboards and analytics solutions for customers. This role blends database administration, advanced SQL development, data engineering, and business intelligence reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, views, and ETL processes.
• Optimize queries, indexes, and database performance; manage backup and recovery.
• Automate data synchronization, validation, cleansing, and scheduled reporting pipelines.
• Support data warehouse, data mart, and dimensional model creation.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, KPIs, exceptions, and risk indicators.
• Build and maintain executive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and drill‑down reports using the company’s BI tool.
• Implement data quality rules, duplicate detection, and governance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Statistics, Data Science or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in database administration, SQL development, or data analytics.
• Professional certifications in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Power BI or Data Analytics are a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle (advantage).
• Advanced SQL scripting, stored procedures, triggers, views, functions, indexing, performance tuning, backup & recovery.
• Power BI, Tableau, data modeling, dashboard development, KPI reporting.
• ETL development, data transformation, data warehousing, API integrations.
