Data Governance Analyst

About the role

The Data Governance Analyst will ensure accurate, reliable, and compliant data management across Northern Credit Union. You will develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and reporting frameworks that support data integrity, security, and effective decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor data quality, validate and reconcile data, and maintain data dictionaries and business glossaries.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and data loss prevention initiatives.
• Collaborate with business units, data teams, and technology stakeholders to define data ownership and reporting requirements.
• Develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, procedures, and documentation.
• Provide guidance and training on data governance, privacy, and responsible data use.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data governance, compliance, risk, or reporting, preferably in a financial institution.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, data lifecycle management, and regulatory reporting processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
