Deputy Director for Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation

About the role

The Deputy Director for Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation will support the Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services in managing the hospital’s nursing and midwifery operations. The role focuses on developing policies, strategic plans, budgets and robust monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure effective service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating and implementing operational policies, strategic plans and budgets for the hospital.
• Design and apply monitoring and evaluation tools to assess programme effectiveness.
• Support central management in preparing the annual hospital report.
• Maintain accurate records in line with hospital guidelines.
• Provide professional advocacy on nursing and operational issues.
• Offer advice and problem‑solving support on day‑to‑day nursing matters.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse or Midwife.
• Relevant Master’s degree in Nursing/Midwifery or equivalent.
• One of the following experience levels: Chief Nursing Officer, Deputy Chief Nursing Officer (minimum 5 years), Principal Nursing Officer (minimum 12 years), or Fellowship holder with at least 3 years experience.
