Digital Transformation Manager

About the role

Telecel Ghana is seeking a senior leader to drive its Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation agenda. The role will shape the integration of telecom and fintech services, enhance customer experiences, and create new digital revenue streams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a digital transformation roadmap aligned with growth priorities (data, digital services, Telecel Cash).
• Transition the business from a traditional telco to a digital‑first, platform‑driven organization.
• Identify and commercialise new digital revenue streams beyond core voice and data.
• Lead the AI strategy and integration of telecom services with the Telecel Cash mobile‑money platform.
• Digitise financial services such as payments, remittances, merchant solutions, micro‑lending and airtime bundling.
• Collaborate with banks, fintechs and regulators to ensure compliance with Bank of Ghana guidelines.
• Enhance adoption and performance of MyTelecel App, USSD, web and API channels.
• Redesign end‑to‑end customer journeys for onboarding, KYC, mobile‑money transactions and airtime purchases.
• Drive agile product development, reduce time‑to‑market and automate back‑office processes.
• Enable data‑driven decision making, analytics for segmentation, churn prediction and cross‑selling.
• Support fraud detection, transaction monitoring and modernise BSS/OSS and mobile‑money platforms.
• Promote an API ecosystem, cloud‑enabled architecture and expand the agent/merchant network.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in telecom, fintech or digital transformation roles.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale digital initiatives and delivering measurable business impact.
