Dispensing Technician

About the role

The Medi-Moses Clinic is seeking a diligent Dispensing Technician to join its pharmacy team in Accra. You will work closely with pharmacists to ensure accurate preparation and delivery of prescription medications while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and review prescriptions for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist the pharmacist in preparing, labeling, counting, measuring, packaging, and dispensing medications.
• Maintain accurate patient and prescription records.
• Process insurance claims and payment transactions where applicable.
• Monitor stock levels, receive new stock, and remove expired products.
• Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines.
• Provide professional customer service and refer clinical queries to the pharmacist.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with pharmacy regulations.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and health‑and‑safety requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma, HND, or Certificate in Dispensing Technology, Pharmacy Technology, or a related health‑science field.
• Registration with the appropriate regulatory body where applicable.
• 1–3 years of experience in a retail, hospital, or community pharmacy.

Required skills

• Knowledge of dispensing procedures.
• Computer literacy.
