Donation and Fundraising Associate

About the role

Loozeele Initiative is looking for a full-time Donation and Fundraising Associate to help secure the financial resources and strategic partnerships needed for its programs in education, digital literacy and women's livelihoods. The role involves identifying funding prospects, crafting fundraising narratives and building lasting relationships with individual donors, corporate entities and foundations.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify potential donors, foundations and corporate partners aligned with the mission.
• Develop and run fundraising strategies and campaigns that communicate the initiative's impact and needs.
• Draft solicitation letters, grant proposals and sponsorship requests.
• Manage a database of prospective and existing donors and track interactions and opportunities.
• Coordinate digital fundraising and create content for social media and email.
• Prepare monthly funding calendars and reports on deadlines, progress and outcomes.
• Record financial and in-kind donations with the finance team and acknowledge donors.
• Support grant applications, concept notes and budgets for senior management review.
• Monitor fundraising metrics and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Development Studies, Public Relations or a related field.
• Prior experience in fundraising, grant research, sales, business development or partnership management is highly advantageous; candidates with strong communication and research skills may be considered with limited direct experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research, organizational and independent work skills, able to collaborate with the founder, finance team and program staff.
• Genuine passion for nonprofit work, social impact and women's empowerment.
