Drama Teacher

About the role

Dodi International School is seeking a full‑time Drama Teacher to join its vibrant campus in Tema, Greater Accra Region. The successful candidate will deliver engaging drama and performing‑arts lessons that align with the school’s Cambridge Primary and Secondary frameworks, fostering creativity and confidence in students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver age‑appropriate drama lessons for primary and early secondary students.
• Teach acting techniques, stagecraft and performance skills.
• Direct class performances and coordinate school‑wide productions.
• Integrate drama into cross‑curricular projects to enhance learning across subjects.
• Develop and continuously improve drama curricula, lesson plans and assessment tools.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with colleagues, communicate regularly with families and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in drama, theatre or performing arts with a passion for inspiring young learners.
• Demonstrated experience teaching acting or drama, preferably to primary or early secondary students.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Performing Arts, Theatre Arts or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Familiarity with international curricula such as Cambridge is an advantage.
• Excellent classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and ability to work in a diverse school community.
