Driver – BORDER Project

About the role

World Vision is seeking a reliable Driver for the BORDER Project to support staff, partners, and visitors across field locations. The role combines safe transportation, hands‑on vehicle maintenance, and logistical coordination to keep project operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Transport internal staff, external partners, and World Vision visitors to and from field sites, ensuring punctuality and safety.
• Provide transportation support for field‑related activities, delivering personnel and materials on schedule.
• Oversee routine vehicle maintenance, servicing, and repairs; develop preventive maintenance schedules.
• Perform hands‑on mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in the field or workshop.
• Plan and manage transport schedules, optimizing vehicle use for staff and project equipment.
• Ensure all vehicles comply with road safety regulations and World Vision safety standards.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections, track mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.
• Monitor fleet‑related budget, reporting performance data and recommendations to the THRIVE Project Manager and Fleet Manager.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Experience in vehicle operation and field logistics.
• Ability to perform basic mechanical repairs and routine maintenance.
• Strong attention to safety and compliance standards.
