Field Officer - Sustainability Management Services

About the role

Sustainability Management Services (SMS), part of ECOM Agro-industrial Corp. Ltd., is looking for self-motivated Field Officers fluent in English and the local languages of the cocoa regions. The Field Officer supports the Field Trainer in implementing SMS programme activities in the designated district (Twifo Praso) and reports to the Regional Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the district's annual work plan.
• Directly supervise farmer programmes such as VSLA and additional livelihood initiatives.
• Handle certification and the annual audit in the district.
• Coordinate training activities for producers.
• Manage a team of Field Trainers, assist them and assess their performance.
• Support Farm Supervisors in their core responsibilities.
• Collaborate with district Ministry of Food and Agriculture technical officers and research institutions, and maintain good relations with franchise holders and other stakeholders.
• Prepare weekly reports and look after the security of assigned company assets.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Business, Economics or Development.
• Certificate in Agriculture.
• Fluency in English and the local languages of the cocoa regions.
