Finance Coordinator

About the role

As a member of the Ghana Program Finance Team, the Finance Coordinator supports the Finance Manager in ensuring efficient financial management, compliance, payroll coordination and human‑resource administration in line with Orbis policies, donor requirements and Ghanaian law.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in processing payment requests, maintain accurate financial documentation and record transactions.
• Manage petty cash and mobile‑money payments.
• Coordinate post‑payroll activities including PAYE, pensions and insurance, and handle withholding tax payments.
• Support budgeting, financial reporting and audit preparation.
• Maintain staff records, HR files and assist with staff benefits and insurance administration.
• Coordinate procurement processes, maintain vendor and contract records and ensure proper procurement documentation.
• Perform other finance and HR tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of financial management experience in an NGO or similar environment.
• Knowledge of Ghana tax and labour legislation.
• Experience with international organisations is an advantage.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ICA or CIMA is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting systems.
• Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite efficiently.
