Finance Decision Support Specialist

About the role

The Finance Decision Support (FDS) Business Partner Specialist supports senior finance leadership across Commercial CBU, EBU & Wholesale, Telecel Cash, and S&D. The role provides high‑impact financial and commercial insights to drive strategic decisions, ensuring profitability, cost efficiency, and customer value are embedded in business actions.

Key responsibilities

• Run financial analysis to support business cases for new products, customer requests, and solution deployments.
• Assess bottom‑line impact of commercial proposals on the P&L using NPV, payback, IRR, and ROI techniques.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the EBU cost base, including monthly accruals and variance explanations.
• Identify and drive efficiency opportunities and cost‑saving initiatives across the commercial unit.
• Partner with Revenue Assurance, Billing Operations, and Billing Integrity teams to ensure revenue integrity.
• Prepare executive‑level reports, including board financial statements, segment profitability, and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Collaborate on EBU budget development, aligning revenue, cost, and KPIs with commercial input.
• Deliver monthly variance analysis for revenues, KPIs, and costs, highlighting key performance drivers.
• Support receivables analysis, ageing reports, collection performance, and customer reconciliations.
• Assist in setting annual collections targets and optimal pricing for strategic deals.
• Conduct product profitability analysis to ensure sustainable pricing and margins.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a comparable field.
• Qualified or part‑qualified ACA/ACCA accountant or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or a finance‑related role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Telecom industry experience is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
