About the role

Agrico Hub's Startups Cooperative Credit Union is looking for a Finance Officer in Bono East. This entry-level position ensures the financial stability, compliance and operational efficiency of the organisation, supporting core functions such as transaction processing, recordkeeping and reporting. It contributes to the credit union's mission of empowering member entrepreneurs through sound financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily financial operations, including cash reconciliation, transaction processing and deposit verification.
• Maintain accurate and compliant financial records using internal systems and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist in the end-to-end management of loan applications, disbursements and repayment tracking.
• Prepare routine financial reports and portfolio performance summaries for management review.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulatory frameworks and audit requirements.
• Process member contributions, savings deposits and investment transactions accurately and on time.
• Monitor loan arrears and help identify credit risk indicators for early intervention.
• Support budget preparation, expense tracking and basic financial forecasting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial workflows and operational efficiency.
