Foundation Module Instructors (Marketing, Customer Service, Ethics, Finance, Quality, OHS&E)

About the role

African Centre for Technical Training (ACTT) is looking for instructors to deliver its foundation modules, which are designed with a strong practice orientation and design thinking principles. The modules cover Basic Marketing, Customer Service, Business Ethics, Financial Management, Quality Management and Occupational Health, Safety and Environment. The post reports to the Vice President, Training & Quality Assurance, is part-time and contract-based, up to 3 months and renewable, based in Adenta, Accra.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare content and teach two classes per month in the subject area, with class sizes of about 20 to 30 trainees
• Dedicate time in each monthly session to student advising, meeting trainees individually or in small groups to discuss coursework
• Evaluate trainee performance (attendance, participation and understanding) and submit grades to the supervisor

Required profile

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in the subject of interest or a closely related area
• Substantial practical experience in the subject and a strong connection to ACTT's mission
• Experience teaching or instructing in an academic or training institution
• Willingness to work in a start-up environment within a participatory community, with strong integrity and ethical standards

Nice to have

• Certified and accredited facilitator with CTVET or another external regulator
• Fluency in English and other local languages such as Twi, Ewe, Ga, Hausa or French
• Attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills, and proficiency with technology
