Full Professor of Marketing

About the role

Ashesi University's Economics and Business Administration Department, which offers BSc Business Administration and BSc Economics and is about to launch its first graduate programme (MBA), is inviting applications for a Full Professor of Marketing. The post reports to the Head of Department and is a full-time academic position. Candidates should have a strong publication record, a proven ability to lead research projects and to obtain and manage external grants.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing, develop and update syllabi and course materials, and integrate case studies, simulations and practical marketing tools
• Design and administer assessments and exams, maintain student records and give constructive feedback
• Publish in reputable academic journals, seek and manage research funding, and supervise student research projects
• Work with industry partners to keep the curriculum current, and organise guest lectures, workshops and networking events
• Take part in departmental meetings, curriculum planning and departmental projects

Required profile

• Full Professor in Marketing, with a PhD in Marketing or a closely related field
• Strong publication record and proven record of teaching in higher education
• Ability to obtain and manage external grants and funding
• Active engagement with professional bodies and sustained service in the marketing concentration
