General Ledger & Accounts Payable Lead

About the role

The General Ledger & Accounts Payable Lead will ensure accurate recording, reporting and reconciliation of financial transactions for GBfoods in Ghana and Senegal, while managing vendor and employee payments and supporting business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit annual financial statements in line with statutory and group requirements.
• Perform monthly and annual corporate income tax and deferred tax computations and filings.
• Manage transfer pricing calculations and ensure documentation compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors for customs, group and statutory audits.
• Lead balance‑sheet, profit & loss and trial‑balance reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll processing, HR provisions and fixed‑asset register maintenance.
• Manage staff loan and advance schedules and ensure timely reporting.
• Review and validate financial packages from other business units and provide feedback.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Deep expertise in IFRS, local tax regulations and transfer pricing.
• Experience with group reporting and consolidation processes.
