General Manager – Hospitality Operations

About the role

The General Manager will lead all aspects of a mixed‑use hospitality property in Accra, overseeing apartments, a restaurant, bar and event spaces. Reporting to ownership, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while meeting revenue and profit targets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, maintenance and presentation across the entire property.
• Supervise check‑in/check‑out processes, ensuring smooth guest arrivals and departures.
• Drive restaurant and bar performance by controlling food quality, hygiene, stock levels and cost.
• Plan, promote and execute weekly and monthly events to attract guests and increase bookings.
• Develop and enforce staff standards – grooming, punctuality, customer service and discipline.
• Analyse financial and operational reports, adjust pricing, occupancy and marketing strategies to meet monthly targets.
• Build relationships with corporate clients, influencers and event organisers to grow business.
• Oversee inventory, cost control and loss prevention across all departments.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in hospitality, hotels, apartments, restaurants, lounges or entertainment venues.
• Strong leadership, team‑building and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, organized and able to work under pressure.
• Integrity in handling company funds and assets.
• Deep knowledge of the local market and networking capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel/property management systems.
• Experience using booking platforms.
• Competence in social media tools for marketing.
• Ability to generate and interpret operational and financial reports.
