Head, Country & Business Development

About the role

SAFRITECTURE is seeking an experienced Business Development professional to lead market growth in your country of residence. Reporting directly to the CEO in Lagos, you will shape the company’s presence, drive strategic initiatives, and mentor a local team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and analysis to uncover new business opportunities in the design‑and‑build sector.
• Develop and execute strategic business development plans aligned with corporate goals.
• Identify, engage, and nurture relationships with prospective clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and pitches that showcase SAFRITECTURE’s value proposition.
• Negotiate and structure complex contracts and partnerships.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Heads of Interiors and Architecture.
• Participate in monthly Command Centre meetings and contribute to policy formation.
• Assist in budget preparation, policy drafting, and performance reviews.
• Liaise with external consultants such as lawyers and accountants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience, preferably in construction business development.
• Current international passport with at least one year before expiry.
• Fluency in English, the local language, and the regional lingua franca.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Africa and beyond.
