Head, New Business & Policy Administration

About the role

Prudential is seeking a strategic leader to head the New Business and Policy Administration functions. The role oversees life insurance underwriting, claims management, and reinsurance coordination while driving operational excellence and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic objectives for New Business and Policy Administration.
• Provide guidance on life insurance underwriting and critical disability claims.
• Manage reinsurance requirements and relationships with reinsurers.
• Lead team development initiatives for both client‑facing and back‑office staff.
• Drive process automation, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.
• Review and update underwriting and claims assessment criteria.
• Negotiate and manage third‑party service provider relationships, especially medical facilities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
• Conduct quality control, audits, and risk mitigation activities.
• Lead digital transformation and customer experience projects.
• Analyse claims data, identify trends, and produce operational reports.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in life insurance underwriting, claims, or policy administration.
• Strong knowledge of reinsurance arrangements and regulatory compliance.
• Track record of building high‑performing teams and driving process automation.
• Experience leading digital transformation and customer‑experience initiatives.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems for service delivery.
