About the role
Central University is looking for an experienced academic leader to head its Basic Medical Sciences department. The role combines strategic oversight, teaching, and mentorship to support the university’s mission of delivering high‑quality medical education.
Key responsibilities
- Provide academic and administrative leadership to the Basic Medical Sciences department.
- Deliver teaching and supervisory services to medical students.
- Fulfill all obligations expected of a senior academic member.
- Execute any additional duties assigned by the Dean or Vice‑Chancellor.
Required profile
- Current rank of Senior Lecturer or higher at a recognised tertiary institution.
- PhD or terminal degree in Anatomy, Physiology, or Medical Biochemistry.
- Previous experience in a similar senior academic role is advantageous.
