About the role
Central University is hiring a Professor to lead teaching and research across a range of medical science disciplines. The position is based at the university’s Tema campus and focuses on delivering high‑quality education and scholarly output.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in the listed medical subjects.
- Supervise laboratory sessions and practical work for students.
- Guide and mentor graduate students in research projects.
- Publish original research in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and academic committees.
Required profile
- Minimum of a PhD in the relevant discipline, or for clinicians a recognized professional membership certificate.
- At least 24 publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Medical Microbiology, Chemical Pathology, Medical Laboratory, Haematology, Pathology/Laboratory Medicine.
Required skills
- Subject‑matter expertise in the listed medical disciplines.
